A Place for Painting

From 2009 – 2012 I was a research  in The Norwegian Resarch Fellowship Programme at the Oslo Academy of the Arts  exploring the relationship between geographical place and painting.  Having travelled extensively for some time, I had began to notice that my paintings  changed depending on where  I was working.  To learn more about how places influences the paintng process, I decided to go on a search for A Place for Painting. Here is a short presentation a selection of  works from some of the  places I visited  during my felloswhip. All photos by Vegard Kleven.
